Mr. Piyush, originally from Mumbai, relocated to Goa after completing his graduation, following his father’s professional roots in the region. In 1995, he founded PHOTO EMPORIUM in Panjim, a business specializing in photography accessories. What began as a modest counter managed solely by Mr. Piyush has since flourished into a prominent store, with a team of 7-8 dedicated staff members specializing in various aspects of photography, including album designers, camera technicians, lab operators, sales, and expert framers.
His passion for photography and unwavering commitment to growth have been the driving forces behind his business expansion. Today, Mr. Piyush owns two successful stores in Goa—PHOTO EMPORIUM in Panjim and FRAME IT in Porvorim—along with a dedicated framing workshop. His two sons, Meeth and Yash Nagda, have become integral to the business’s continued success. Meeth oversees the framing operations, while Yash manages the photography side of the business. Both sons have been mentored by Mr. Piyush and are equipped with the knowledge and drive to further expand the business, both within and beyond Goa. This next phase of growth marks the family’s ongoing mission to solidify their presence in the industry.
Mr. Meeth Nagda has been involved in the operations and client management of the family business from a young age, gaining invaluable experience under the mentorship of his father, Mr. Piyush. Eager to deepen his understanding of business operations and expansion strategies, Meeth pursued a double master’s degree—an MBA in Global Finance and Applied Finance—by studying abroad.
Upon completing his education, he returned to India to apply his expertise to the family’s newest venture, FRAME IT. At FRAME IT, Meeth manages all back-end operations, oversees client relationships, conducts site visits, and continually introduces innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. His past experience at PHOTO EMPORIUM, coupled with his academic achievements, has positioned him as a key driver in the growth and success of the business.

Yash Nagda, the youngest entrepreneur in the family, began his journey in the business world shortly after completing his bachelor’s degree. Under the mentorship of his father, Mr. Piyush Shah, he received hands-on, on-site training, gaining valuable experience in operations, retail, and manufacturing. With over two years of direct involvement in the business.
Yash has developed a clear vision to drive growth, focusing on meeting customer needs, maintaining quality, and enhancing efficiency. Currently, he plays a key role in managing operations at the Panjim outlet, PHOTO EMPORIUM, while also assisting his elder brother, Mr. Meeth Nagda, in the framing business at FRAME IT.
With over 40 years of experience in the framing industry, Mr. Vijay began his career in 1984 with LION INDIA in Mumbai, India’s leading company in the art and picture framing sector. Starting as a stockist, he quickly rose to the position of branch manager, overseeing operations in Mumbai. LION INDIA is renowned for supplying top-quality raw materials and machinery, sourced from South Korea and Denmark, with a focus on conservation and museum-level framing.
In 2011, Mr. Vijay relocated to Goa to explore new opportunities and expand the framing business. This move led him to join the PHOTO EMPORIUM team, where he served as Senior Framer. Together with Mr. Piyush Shah, the proprietor, they conceived and launched FRAME IT, an exclusive art gallery and framing workshop. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship, Mr. Vijay’s expertise allows him to frame virtually anything with precision and quality, ensuring that every client is delighted with the final product.
